1.pour

"The visitors poured through the castle gates in a river of gold and silver and polished steel, three hundred strong, a pride of bannermen and knights, of sworn swords and freeriders."

      pour into/out of/from:蜂涌而入/出

      上图，电视剧里的场景:

 前两天看见file有一个相关的用法:人群排成纵队前进

  She paused as the group of children filed out of the house...那群孩子从房子里鱼贯而出时，她停了下来。

  Slowly, people filed into the room and sat down.人们排成一列缓慢地依次走进房间，并坐了下来。

2.vault, flank,

"Yet the huge man at the head of the column, flanked by two knights in the snow-white cloaks of the Kingsguard, seemed almost a stranger to Ned…until he vaulted off the back of his warhorse with a familiar roar, and crushed him in a bone-crunching hug."

      flank,以前读小说，总是听什么左翼，右翼，怎么翻译呢？今天碰到了。而且这个词还可以作动词。If something is flanked by things, it has them on both sides of it, or sometimes on one side of it.

     vault,前两章上下马用的都是mount,dismount,这里出现了一个词vault,查了一下很有意思，If you vault  something or vault over it, you jump quickly onto or over it, especially by putting a hand on top of it to help you balance while you jump.就是用手支撑跳跃的意思。为什么这个词印象深刻呢？上图

        以后终于这种动作怎么说了。

3. shudder to think

" What will this place be like in winter? I shudder to think."

      意为不敢想象

4.  stretch away as far asthe eye can see

"In Highgarden there are fields of golden roses that stretch away as far as the eye can see."

        也就是一望无际的意思

5. fear for somebody/something

"Catelyn fears for her sister."

         fear for 可以表示关心的意思。
