Today we had Canada 150 ceremony, and officially opened our playground. It was a special play day because we celebrated Canada 150's birthday, held jump rope for heart.
First our principal put a ribbon around the playground, when we went outside, we stood in lines. The principal cut the ribbon and announced that the playground is officially open.
Then it was Canada 150 ceremony. Ourschool was separated into 13 groups, because there are 13 territories in Canada. My team represented North West Territory, we wear dark blue t shirts.
In the ceremony, each group said their cheer. My group cheer is: we are team NWT, home of snow and ice, we are here to win these games, and we don't even have to think twice.
Afterwards we all jump rope until the music stopped. Each team skipped together, the skipping was fun.
Next we went to a play day centers. My group went to the the hockey stick balance. The team leader split us into two teams, we stand in our lines, each person had to balance the puck with a hockey stick and touched the targeted point, then this person walked back to high fives the next person in the line, and the next person did the same thing. The team who finished first win.
Finally we played on the playground, but it started raining. The equipment was all wet, when I went down the slide, I couldn't go down because the slide was wet and not slippery.
It was a fabulous day today. I was very happy.
The End.
