这本书的副标题是：A COMPREHENSIVE FRAMEWORK FOR EFFECTIVE INSTRUCTION 一个全面有效的教学框架
作者 Robert J. Marzano
正如副标题所说，这本书是构架了一个教学框架，而不是零散的技巧。它通过提出问题，解答问题的方式，构架了在教学中应当注意的一些问题，以及切实能帮学生解决的问题。是能大大增强老师们教学能力的超级装备。
作者通过详实而严谨的科学数据，向我们证实，他所提的观点和方式都是有科学依据，能明显提升学生表现的。而同时，教学又是一门艺术，是老师与学生之间微妙的平衡。如何提升自己的教学艺术呢？作者用了是个问题作为导引，一步一步帮助新手老师构建框架。
