We sit on my bed playing Gobang with two pencils a piece of square paper that was used to cover the apple. I draw white chess pieces and he draws black pieces. We just played two games because the paper only has two sides.
“Wow you’re so cleaver, I’ll beat you tomorrow.” “This means I’m permitted to come and stay tomorrow?” “Yes, of course. Don’t forget keeping your paper, and we could play four games.” I give him the spare key of my room, “anytime.” He can’t resist to smile.
“Where’s the novel?” I told him I returned it, so I returned to the library. Fortunately that book was still there.
“Oh thank you, Cyano, I love this novel.” The night is still young, we sit together each hold a book in our hands. I feel good as always when he’s with me. He fell asleep half an hour later, I enjoy watching the peaceful him. He doesn’t snore, just rhythmic voice like the breeze in the summertime, smells of vivid meadow and sunshine, the natural, unfledged origin touch of the most gentle flows of air. His nature has these possibilities, unstable and stable, touchable and untouchable, scentless and all-scented. Leaving me wondering...
Now we’re driving to another island. Salix is sweating heavily, his red T-shirt is attaching his body, showing his contour. I like the sound of water splashing around the pole and my arms. This moment, too good to be true, and in reality we’re better, the good is: we couldn’t see something like this. This is an illusion, but it’s okay since it brightens my next day.
“I should take it off,” he commands himself, take it off and dips it in the water, “wow, I haven’t touched the water this comforting, very long time.” “How long? Exactly.” The next moment he looked at me like I’m a mad man, the moment I realised I’ve ventured too deep in this illusion. Shining water droplets are hanging among his dark brown hair, giving off a very true sensation for me. He touches my forehead, blazing hot. His gaze is immovable as the eternity. “I think you have mental disorder.” I knew it, so I don’t reply.
The second island is a cliff island, no plants on its abrupt surface. I couldn’t remember which one of us proposed it, couldn’t believe we’ll set foot on its formidable apex. “How to set foot on this island? How to know another heart?” He speaks the same words as last time, but strangely it sounds like the first time. Something’s not right, I can’t tell. I need to give him another answer, “to love him, to stay with him, to observe him closely, then you’ll achieve it.” He seems strangely excessively happy this time, rushes to me and hugs me, so tight. Oh God demasiado caliente! I’m about to explode!
A red umbrella appears in the sky, Sunder! I reach out to grab it and suddenly find myself flying towards it. Salix jumps up grabs my ankle, and we fly to the sky. We ascend in parallel with the cliff, he climbs my body inch by inch, finally encircles my waist from behind. “I don’t know you can’t fly.” “I know you could fly.” So this is how we reach the apex.
The view from above is different, everywhere is hidden behind the white clouds, we’re isolated on this snow covered peak, only clouds and sky. What’s unexpectedly is the sound, of an ocean. An excessively big moon stays in the sky, her light is getting colder now, in consequence tints the clouds bluer, deeper. This is the time Rosa fell off from the ship!
“I see you, I’m here. Don’t worry.” Salix is still behind me. But his words only reminds me that this is the second possibility of the dream I had last night. He’s not real.
I hear a voice of a girl, “Cyano, it is the time you face it.” But I only care about the lies she gave me, “why did you lie to me? Why didn’t you just end me?” I don’t know what I’m talking about. “There are possibilities.”
Salix rushes towards her, but she’s too powerful, she lances her hands into his body. “No no no no please don’t!” I kneel down and plead. “You weak boy! Stop LYING to yourself!” She’s outrageous, out of her mind. Just like last time she slid open the illusion, she tears my Salix friend apart, slowly and mercilessly. Hot dark blood on her face, my blood is boiling hot too, this was the last string and it was severed. The raging blood has made me stronger, I’m stronger than ever and ever. I catch her neck and shake in violence, “you never knew how powerful I could be.” The surfs applaud for my upcoming victory. Now it’s her turn to plead, she utters something from her narrowed pipe, “you... you’ll re....” I tear her in two before she could finish her words. Her deafening screaming echoes on the sea.
A new view appears in front of me as her body splits in two. But what’s happening is not new, I’m in that girl’s body again. Her grandma is talking again, the moons are getting closer. The only difference is that rainbow spanning across the ocean. Morph stole it from me, she doesn’t deserve a beautiful skin. I think my grandma is talking the same stories as last time, because I feel the same. Salix is dead, we’ll never have the chance to get to know each other properly, I’m feeling the same sadness as this girl.
Short time after her grandma disappeared into the darkness I realised more when we smile together. The two moons before our eyes get closer and closer, when they hide their other halves into the horizon, they become one full moon, at this exact moment, burning blazing spectrum cast all over the sky and the mirror. We feel full at this moment, the fullness of the soul, that we’ll never be poor and lonely. We feel the warmth but not only warmth itself, more than more, the infinity, just like its spectrum and that giant rainbow, infinite kind of colours. It’s like we finally found our other twins and, we don’t care whether they’re dead or not to sense their existence. We think it’s time to do something.
I remember the time I was on the bus. The bus is driving by the station, in the distance there's a wind blowing, revealing the frost forest together with its blue, and I feel the warmth.
All people need warmth, after all.
