In 1967, United Kingdom emitted the greatest amount of carbon dioxide among the four countries, reaching nearly 11 metric tonnes per person in average while Portugal emitted the lowest amount of about 1.2 metric tonnes each person. Forty years later, UK remained the country with the highest carbon emission, Italy surpassed Sweden and took the second place while Sweden dropped to the last rank with Portugal.（本段我在两头的时间点对四国人均碳排放做了一个静态的比较。）
