一种商业代理人，业务是撮合卖买双方当事人达成协议，或者受托与买主（卖主）一方为其寻找卖方（买主）。所得报酬称为佣金，一般按照所售货物价款的一定比例计算，但其并不占有这些货物或货物产权文书。
除保险经纪人外，经纪人对合同不承担个人责任。
