翻译技巧一

这段中文多用中文的四字词语，让我们看看译文是怎么处理的。

第一组:逐臭争利，锱铢必较

译文: strive after fame and gain and haggle over every penny 这里用了不及物动词＋介词＋名词的结构

第二组:清嘴薄舌，争论是非

译文:be sharp-tongued and quarrelsom 这里用了形容词

第三组:锣鼓钲镗的，管弦嗷嘈

译文:deafening gongs and drums as well as  noisy wind and string instruments 这里用了形容词＋名词的结构

第四组:宁静淡泊，深思默想

译文:are given to profound meditation and a quiet life 这里是词组加名词的结构

所以，中文的四字格可以翻译成译文的各种结构，但在两个四字格并列时，要采取一样的结构

翻译技巧二

中文的话语中有省略，但在译成英语时，要把省略的部分补回来。

“爱逐臭争利，锱铢必较的”肯定是人，所以译文为“Those who strive after fame and gain, and haggle over every penny”，把人体现出来

翻译技巧三

这段话用了排比的手法，使得整段话更有气势，译成英文时，也要保留原文的结构。

排比的是整段话，所以我们提炼出中文的结构:

爱……的，请到……去(这里重复三次)，爱……的，……在欢迎你。

与它相对应的英文结构是:

Those who …, please go to…!(这里重复三次)

Those who …, welcome to…!

所以翻译带有排比性质的中文美文时，要独具匠心地创造出与中文相对应的句型。
