Have you noticed that many people saying they are allergic to some foods? Or maybe you just have the problem yourself, such as being allergic to peanuts, selfish, milk, etc. Now food allergies have become a common thing in our life. Let us have a look at it.
Food allergies mean that when you eat some certain types of food, you will get very ill, even fatal to your life.

One documentary by BBC told a story of a young man who was allergic to peanuts. He ordered a takeaway from a small restaurant by telephone and specially mentioned that he was allergic to peanuts, so his food should be exclusively peanut-free. Unfortunately, the careless staff did not paying attention to his request, gave him the usual dishes as the others which included some crushed nuts, then the young man ate the food and died. That was sad.

The documentary made me realize that food allergies can be so dangerous that it might kill you. In our daily life, there is another usual allergic condition, eczema, which is red, itchy and painful in various parts of body. Now we find that some people suffer from these medical conditions. Though it is not fatal, eczema makes people feel pain.

Research suggests that the problem of food allergies has seen significant increases in the past 20 or 30 years. The results are based on detailed, thoroughly studies by scientists. While babies who get eczema at infant might likely develop food allergies, experts say people can not completely put them down to genetics.

According to our regular knowledge, peanuts are on the list of most common allergic foods. Actually, peanuts are not nuts, not vegetables, but are legumes. As it can cause allergic reaction to some people, it makes them be alert in selecting foods.

If you look at content table of packaged food very carefully, you will notice some words saying ＂contain a small amount of peanuts.＂So peanuts allergic patients should be very careful in choosing what can be put in mouth.
