According to my experience in the past 80-plus years, one should never allow his brain to stay idle; he must use it all the time. Experiments conducted by foreign scientists indicate that the age-old theory that using the brain too much causes physical damage is not valid. In fact, doing so helps achieve a longer life. Ageing is largely caused by the death of brain cells. The brain cells of middle-aged and elderly people die every day, but the fact is that humans use only a quarter of brain cells throughout life and that new cells are born every day when the brain is actively used. As long as the brain stays active, new cells outnumber dead cells. Stay mentally active can enhance blood circulation in the brain and the coordination of body functions.
