翻译分析：在遇到许多定语的时候，一定要在英文中确定哪些定语可以前置，哪些可以后置，英文中如把所有定语前置，会显得很繁琐，英文喜欢把定语后置。

翻译案例2
原文：救助理念、救助对象、救助内容、救助方式
译文：philosophy, objects, content and means of assistance
分析：中文喜欢重复，通过重复来起到强调的作用，且排列规整，朗朗上口，但英文中如果同一个词，不断重复并列，则有冗余之感，所以在翻译的时候要把四个救助并为一个，英文追求简洁明了，而中文对音韵对仗的追求很高。

原文：这一做法可以尊重学生的差异和特点，反对歧视和排斥
译文：Through this practice, we can respect the differences and characteristics of students and oppose discrimination and exclusion.
分析：英文与中文结构有差异，英文严格按照主谓宾结构，中文有时却需要自己判断主语是谁，英文中respect这个词的主语都是人，所以这里不能直接用this practice respects，翻译在可以字对字的时候最好字对字，如果不能，则要灵活处理，尤其是出现不搭配的时候，要调整，让主谓宾之间搭配起来，才自然。
翻译案例4
原文：这只是一种权宜之计。
译文：This is just a kind of quick fix.
分析：中译英最容易做的就是字对字翻译，机器也能做，但人工翻译与机器翻译不同的就是有的地方不会及字对字，而是找到对等的表达，quick fix与权宜之计如此对等的表达有许多，了解的越多，翻译能力越高，功能对等效果越好。

分析：说道“比作”，总会想起compare这个词。然而，liken这个词却更经常用于翻译“比作”。且译文中出现两次pain，第二个pain需要用that替代，英语不喜欢重复，在第二次出现某词时倾向于省略或指代。

分析：中文重意合，结构通常十分松散，要靠感觉感知具体的逻辑关系。英文重形合，具体事务之间的关系需要通过动词介词表达清楚，看译文中的against在原文中根本找不到对应的任何词汇，但通过意会能体会出暗含的关系，但在英文中显化出来，如画龙点睛。
如：The authors warn against any false sense of precision when utilizing these, or any other indicators, and so caution against precise rankings.
报告作者警告说，在使用这些或任何其他指标时，不要认为他们十分精确，因此也反对精确的排名。
翻译案例7
原文：吸收别人的观点
译文：internalize other people’s ideas
分析：吸收本来应该为absorb，但吸收的意思是将别人的观点吸收，消化后，内化为自己的一部分，internalize则更为形象。
