I had gone to Pakistan in May, 2016 in the first time of my life and Pakistan is the first foreign country where I have been working.
At the beginning, I felt quite uncomfortable with my stomach due to hot weather in Multan. This kind of situation lasted almost one month or even longer. Even company has provided us with AC, fans, refrigerator and etc., I still can not ease myself in that I both suffer from hot weather and high-pressure of work. At the beginning, company rented houses in PC in that it's safe and comfortable. I would go jogging in the evening to release myself. Sometimes, some Pakistani residents are playing crickets in the afternoon. And others tell us that it’s a famous game in Pakistan. Mango is very delicious at that time in that it's high temperature. Someone recommends that I shall try some Lassi in hot weather after mango, then I try and I like it.
At that time, I first worked in Business Dept. And I got to know some subcontractors, suppliers and businessmen. I even could not understand how could one subcontractor can be so talkative. At that time , I know “tomorrow” means a long time, might be several days or even more ,but not the day after today. If one says “5 minutes”, then it might be several hours and this is the shortest hours which you can imagine. Another thing makes me strange is that China is like buyer's market while Pakistan is more like seller's market. That's why Business Dept. Staff are very, very busy at the beginning of the time for project in that we shall find suppliers, sign agreements and etc. Moreover, we also try our best to adapt to their working styles, habits, even working time of governmental organizations and respect Islamic habits. Thanks God! Things are in good prospect.
Due to work, sometimes I shall go to Multan, Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and etc. After dealing with work, I will call on some tourist spots. Once I went to Lahore Fort, seeing some PAK family members are enjoying and walking, some praying.The Park is big with green grass. In Clifton Beach, we saw some different buskers with camel, cobra,horse,and other animals, however, the water is very dirty. Seafood is very fresh, cheap and delicious in Karachi. However, I saw many get fresh water from shoppers in that fresh water is not abundant. Another time, a busker was playing with his monkey. I observed one thing is that few shopper or vendor selling in big or public parks and that's really a good thing. However, vendors are almost all over the main streets of cities, some boys or old ones even on the traffic lights for begging. There is large population in this country. I like Lahore very much in that it's clean and beautiful. And you can enjoy cool weather in summer in Islamabad. Multan is an old city in Pakistan and BZU is also a nice university.
Influenced by the Western culture, many PAK speak fluent English provided they have received some education. Even some receive little education, they learn very ,very quickly. They also like drinking Pakistani tea, might be one time in the morning and one time in the afternoon.
