材料:
Olive oil—your best
最好的橄榄油
1 slice fresh or day-old Basic Country Bread
一片面包
1 soft, ripe heirloom tomato, cut in half crosswise
一个熟透的西红柿,切成两半
1 thin slice dry-cured ham such as serrano
一薄片儿火腿
1 slice hard aged cheese such as Manchego
一片儿奶酪
步骤:
Pour 1/4 inch of olive oil into a small skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Add the bread and fry until deep golden brown and very crisp, about 3 minutes. Turn and fry until deep golden brown and crisp on the other side. The rough surface of the bread forms a natural Microplane. Rub the cut side of the tomato halves across one side of the toasted bread until the pulp is shredded and the juice fills the holes in the bread with tomato puree. Top with the ham and cheese and serve.
