示例：

翻译技巧：

1. 断句。连接词处画斜线（/）断句。

On the whole/, such a conclusion can be drawn/ with a certain degree of confidence, but/ only if/ the child can be assumed /to have had the same attitude /towards the test/as the others/with whom he is being compared, /and only of /he was not punished /by lack of relevant information /which they possessed.

2. 翻译（本段示例）

# 英语原文“，”，中文也在该处保留“，”；

# “can be”为被动语态，翻译时被动变主动，译文中不能出现“被”字；

# “with”英文介词；

① 介词译为中文时，介词变动词（介改动）；

② 译为中文时，介词为方位词；

eg: There is a book on the desk.

# 转移条件：

① 由“by / because”等原因词引导句子时，否定不转移；

② 由“by / because”等原因词引导短语时，否定转移；

# “they”代词的译法：代词指明要点（需将代词所指代的东西译出）

eg: what he said is true.

译文：他所说的话是对的。

代词译法规律：汉语善用名词，英语善用代词。

3. 重读：不看原文只看译文，修改译文至顺口即可。
