最近，夏神在群里分享了『金砖国家领导人厦门宣言』。本人在闲暇时做练习，其中部分句子有幸得到夏神的指点。现把笔记整理如下，如果有不当的地方，烦请各位指正…… 万分感激。

『原文』我们，中华人民共和国、巴西联邦共和国、俄罗斯联邦、印度共和国和南非共和国领导人于2017年9月4日在中国厦门举行金砖国家领导人第九次会晤。围绕“深化金砖伙伴关系，开辟更加光明未来”主题，我们致力于本着未来共同发展的愿景，在金砖国家合作已有进展的基础上更进一步。我们还讨论了共同关心的国际和地区问题，协商一致通过《金砖国家领导人厦门宣言》。

『我的译文』We, the Leaders of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Russian Federation, the Republic of India, the People's Republic of China and the Republic of South Africa, held the ninth meeting on September 4, 2017 in Xiamen, China. With the theme "Deepen the partnership among the BRICS for a brighter future", we are dedicated to having a closer cooperation based on the existing progress with a shared vision of future development. Besides, we discussed international and regional issues which we all concerned and passed the Xiamen Declaration after agreement.

『参考译文』We, the Leaders of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Russian Federation, the Republic of India, the People's Republic of China and the Republic of South Africa, met on 4 September 2017 in Xiamen, China, at the Ninth BRICS Summit. Under the theme "BRICS: Stronger Partnership for a Brighter Future", we endeavor to build on our achievements already made with a shared vision for future development of BRICS. We also discussed international and regional issues of common concern and adopted the Xiamen Declaration by consensus.

『知识点整理』

1. 〖of的使用〗"With the theme..." 原本想用of链接theme以及后边的内容。但是查证了Oxford Dictionary of English以后，发现of多用于指代两物或者人与物，人与人间关系的，特别是从属关系，在这里不大恰当（具体用法如下图所示）。所以仿效参考译文，把主题独立翻译，当成插入语。

2.〖致力于……〗(1) devote oneself to...  (2) endeavor to do something.... (3) be dedicated to... 其中，dedicated是形容词，表示“投入的”。而to则表示“对于……”，可与名词、形容词和动词搭配，后边接事物。比如：He was deaf to our explanation. 他不听我们解释。

3. 〖是否省译〗第二句中，主题提及了对开辟光明未来的愿景，与后文中“本着未来共同发展的愿景”意思近乎一致。本人有考虑省译。夏神指出，主题是对该峰会内容的概括，而后文则是详述，他们的方向必然是一致的。然而，考虑到两者范围不一致，不应该省略地翻译，不然会损失掉原文的意思。

4. 『共同发展的愿景』本人原本打算翻译为"a vision of joint development"。通过网易有道词典app查证，joint development意为“联合开发”，与原文意思相距甚远。因此最终采用了参考译文的译法。

5. 〖金砖国家领导人厦门宣言〗原文一直以第一人称讲述金砖国家领导人的会谈，因此省译成Xiamen Declaration即可。
