每日术语总结 - 租赁稿件(6.21)

    做过好几批租赁方面的稿件,脑子里出现好几个租赁相关的词语——Rent, rental, lease, sublet。每次遣词造句之前,我都会查一下剑桥词典。一方面,加深印象,识记相关用法;另一方面,避免稿件出现搭配错误。

    1. Rent (租金,租房,出租)
      [ C or U ] a fixed amount of money that you pay regularly for the use of a room, house, car, television, etc. that someone else owns: 租金
      I pay a higher rent/more rent than the other tenants because my room is bigger. 支付租金

    搭配: a fair/high/low rent
    annual/monthly rent
    commercial/office rents
    pay (the) rent 付租金
    charge/collect rent 收租金
    for rent --- The restaurant had rooms for rent. 有房出租。
    verb [I or T] to pay a fixed amount of money regularly for the use of a room, house, office, etc.: rent a house 租房
    rent sth from sb
    She has rented an apartment from a private landlord through a letting agent. 她通过房屋中介从私人房东处租了一处公寓。
    [T] rent sth out to receive an amount of money from somebody for the use of something, especially a room, house, office, etc. that you own: rent sth to sb , rent out sth to sb 出租房屋

    1. Rental noun (租赁事宜,租金,租赁物)
      ​[ C or U ] an arrangement to rent something, or the amount of money that you pay to rent something: 租赁,租金

    Property rental is quite expensive here.
    DVD rentals have decreased this year. 租赁业务
    a car rental company 租车公司

    [ C ] mainlyus something such as a house, car, or bike that you rent: 租赁物
    Because larger rentals are the hardest to find, tenants snap them up quickly.
    Is that your car or is it a rental?

    1. Lease noun / verb (租赁,租赁合同)
      lease sth to sb / lease sb sth 把某物租给某人

    noun [C] 租赁合同
    a legal agreement in which you pay money in order to use a building, piece of land, vehicle, etc. for a period:

    He has the house on a long lease.
    The lease runs out/expires in two years' time. 租赁合同期限为2年。
    We signed a three-year lease when we moved into the house.
    签了三年的租赁合同。

    1. Sublet 转租,分租 同义词——Sublease, underlease
      sublet verb [ T ]
      ​to allow someone to rent all or part of a house or other building that you are renting from someone else:
      Our rental contract states that we are not allowed to sublet the house.

    sublease sth from / to sth/ sb
    One end is a mini-mall, with space subleased to a variety of businesses.
    The downsizing companies might put too much office space up for sublease.
    The head tenant will grant subleases in consideration of a premium and a low rent.

    1. 此外还有一些词。租户(tenant, lessee, renter)出租方(landlord, lessor)

    暂时就列这些词的基本用法,我也还在消化中,感觉又熟悉了一番。用的时候,至少有个基本方向了。
