中英双语阅读精句分享 Day 2

1.Cease to struggle and you cease to live.

    生命不止，奋斗不息。

笔记：不要提到“停止”就只会使用"stop"哦。

2.He who seize the right moment, is the right man.

    谁把握机遇，谁就心想事成。

笔记：歌德的一句名言，为什么这里的seize没有加s？下次我得考一考学生。

3.A man can fail many times, but he isn't a failure until he begins to blame somebody else.

    一个人可以失败很多次，但是只要他没有开始责怪旁人，他还不是一个失败者。

笔记：这句话与我前几天推荐的书——《人性的弱点》里作者的观点一致，我们总是在问题发生时，习惯性地推卸责任和责怪他人。但如果想真正得到提升，请先从自身找原因。

4.One should be living earnestly and aging gracefully.

    认真地年轻，优雅地老去。

笔记：这是和杨绛先生有关的一句话，读到这句话，就有点写作的灵感了。

5.If you think education is expensive,try ignorance!

    如果你认为教育的成本太高，试试看无知的代价。

笔记：看到这句话，想到了龙应台写给儿子安德烈的一段话：“孩子，我要求你读书用功，不是因为我要你跟别人比成绩，而是因为，我希望你将来会拥有选择的权利，选择有意义、有时间的工作，而不是被迫谋生。当你的工作在你心中有意义，你就有成就感。当你的工作给你时间，不剥夺你的生活，你就有尊严。成就感和尊严，给你快乐。”同与教育相关。

6.We all feel like forever is so far off in the distance, when it is so brief that we miss it in the blink of an eye.

    我们都以为永远会很远，其实它可能短暂的连我们都看不见。

笔记：摘自电影《有一个地方，只有我们知道》。喜欢这部电影的拍摄地。

7.You see but your shadow when you turn your back to the sun.

    当你背向太阳的时候，你只看到自己的影子。

笔记：摘自“黎巴嫩文坛骄子”纪伯伦的经典之作《沙与沫》，还有一句”One may not reach the dawn save by the path of the night.”（除了通过黑夜的道路，人们不能到达黎明。）

8.And ask yourself: What am I really looking for? Because if it’s to check email, that’s fine -- do it and be done. But if it’s to distract yourself from doing the hard work that comes with deeper thinking, take a break, stare out the window and know that by doing nothing, you are actually being your most productive and creative self. It might feel weird and uncomfortable at first, but boredom truly can lead to brilliance.
