我翻译的《道德经》第五十四章（3）

原文:

故以身观身，以家观家，以乡观乡，以邦观邦，以天下观天下。吾何以知天下然哉？以此。

译文:

所以，从一个人的德行可以了解一个人，从一个家的德行可以了解一个家，从一个乡的德行可以了解一个乡，从一个国的德行可以了解一个国，从天下的德行可以了解天下。我凭什么知道天下必然的结果啊？就是依此规律。

我的翻译:

So,we can know a man from his virtues.

We can know a family  from  the virtues of

a family.

We can know a hometown from  the virtues

of a hometown.

We can know a country from the virtues of

a country.

We can know the world from the virtues of

the world.

Why do I know the  inevitable result of the

world? Only  because  of  this rule .
