Award-winning British animation show Peppa Pig is set to celebrate Chinese New Year with a film release（发布电影） in February 2019.

Co-produced（联合制作） by Alibaba Pictures and Canadian media company Entertainment One, the film will be the first animated cartoon in China to feature an entire cast and live shooting. The film will also highlight（突出） a number of Chinese cultural elements.

Audiences will see a dragon parade（舞龙狮）, firework display and cute red scarves（剪纸）, which represent good luck in China.

The cast includes household names like Zhu Yawen and Liu Yun.

Peppa Pig is shown daily on British TV, chronicling（记录） the adventures of Peppa and her family. Along with the cartoon series, Peppa Pig books and toys are popular with both Chinese children and adults.

Earlier this year, Peppa featured in a book on Chinese New Year, where all characters（角色） dressed in festive Chinese costumes and celebrated the Spring Festival.
