Thunderstorm

佩奇和乔治还没野餐完，暴风雨突然要来临了，佩奇和乔治匆忙回家，但是佩奇把她心爱的玩具泰迪给掉在花园里了，佩奇很难过。
猪爸爸马上安慰她不用担心，他去救泰迪回来，但是大条的猪爸爸以为暴风雨没那么快来，就慢慢的去捡泰迪。
不料，突然下起了大雨，猪爸爸和泰迪都被淋湿了。
佩奇很心疼泰迪，她和妈妈赶紧拿来毛巾擦干泰迪，却忘了同样淋湿的猪爸爸。

猪爸爸没有指责佩奇，在一旁耐心的等佩奇她们给泰迪擦干水之后才说：可怜的爸爸怎么办？猪妈妈和佩奇非常抱歉，赶紧一起过去给猪爸爸擦干水。
这个等待太重要了，如果猪爸爸一进来就说自己也淋湿了，跟佩奇邀宠，佩奇大约会对爸爸内疚和心疼泰迪两种情感交织在一起不能释放，她既想给泰迪擦又要分心担心爸爸，这种情感矛盾又不能共存，必然会引起佩奇对猪爸爸邀宠的反感。
但是，后来才说的话，佩奇心疼泰迪的情感已经释放，佩奇会无比感激猪爸爸的宽容和忍耐，这样佩奇对猪爸爸的内疚会升华成感激和爱，自然更加欢喜的去给猪爸爸擦干水了。
03.
另外一个高潮是佩奇和乔治害怕雷声时，猪爸爸和猪妈妈的引导。
一般小孩都会被未知的巨大的突如其来的声音吓到，佩奇和乔治被吓到时，猪爸爸和猪妈妈没有只是苍白的安慰他们：不要害怕、不要害怕。
大部分父母都是这么做的，更有甚者，还会嘲笑孩子胆小，受不起挫折。
猪妈妈想出一个好主意，就是数雷声和闪电之间间隔的时间，猪爸爸解释间隔时间越长证明暴风雨离得越远。
佩奇和乔治果然都忘记了害怕，投入到这个好玩的数数游戏中去了。
所以，孩子害怕的时候，适当的分散他们的注意力，能让他们忘记害怕。当然，分散注意力的方式要围绕他们害怕的东西上去，也就是说要把他们害怕的东西变成喜欢的东西。
好吧！我承认好难！但是，我想说“父母从业资格证”是世界上最难拿到的证书，没有之一！
旁白：It is a lovely, sunny day. Peppa and George are having a picnic.
佩奇：Here's some orange juice for you, Teddy. What do you say?
佩奇假装泰迪：Thank you very much, Peppa!
佩奇：You are very welcome, Teddy.
佩奇：Here's some orange juice for you, Mr. Dinosaur. And what do you say?
乔治假装恐龙先生：Grrrrrrrrrrr!
佩奇：You are very welcome, Mr. Dinosaur.
佩奇：Would Teddy or Mr. Dinosaur like a cookie?
佩奇假装泰迪：We're not very hungry. So Peppa and George can eat all the cookies.
佩奇：Thank you, Teddy.
旁白：What was that strange noise?
妈妈：Peppa, George! Quick, come inside the house!
佩奇：Mummy! There was a loud ''bang'' sound!
妈妈：It's thunder, Peppa. It means there will be a thunderstorm with lots of rain. Quick! Into the house before the rain starts!
爸爸：No need to panic, the rain is still a long way off.
旁白：The sky is getting darker and darker. There is going to be a thunderstorm.
妈妈：Peppa, George, did you bring all your toys in from the garden?
乔治：Dine-Saw.
妈妈：Good, Mr. Dinosaur is safe.
佩奇：Teddy! I left Teddy in the garden! He'll get wet!
爸爸：Don't worry, Peppa. Daddy Pig will rescue Teddy!
妈妈：You'd better hurry, Daddy Pig. It's just about to rain!
爸爸：I know all about thunderstorms. It won't rain for ages. As I thought, plenty of time before it rains.
佩奇：Poor Teddy! He's soaking wet!
妈妈：Yes, poor Teddy! Let's get him dry!
佩奇：Poor Teddy!
妈妈：There you are, Teddy! All dry!
爸爸：What about poor Daddy? I'm soaking wet, too!"
妈妈：Oh! Sorry, Daddy Pig! Let's get you dry!
妈妈：There you are, Daddy Pig! Nice and dry!
Oh!?
佩奇：The rain is coming in the house! The floor is getting wet!
妈妈：Oh, dear! What can we do, Daddy Pig?
爸爸：Don't worry.
旁白：Daddy Pig is using a bucket to catch the drips.
妈妈：Well-done, Daddy Pig!
爸爸：Easy as pie!
爸爸：Er? what?
妈妈：Quick! Find something else to catch the water!
爸爸：Well-done, Peppa!
佩奇：Easy as pie!
佩奇：Mummy! The thunder bangs are very loud!
爸爸：It's okay, children; don't be frightened.
妈妈：Let's count between each flash and bang.
爸爸：The higher we can count, the further away the thunderstorm is.
妈妈：One... two...three...
爸爸：That's three.
一起：One... two... three...four... five...
爸爸：That's five! The thunderstorm is going away!
妈妈：The thunderstorm is over!
Hurray!
旁白：The thunderstorm has filled the garden with muddy puddles!
旁白：Peppa loves jumping up and down in muddy puddles.
旁白：Everyone loves jumping up and down in muddy puddles.
佩奇：I love thunderstorms, they make muddy puddles!
Splish, splash, splosh, splish!"
