The leaders or directors of organizations are often older people. But some people say that young people can also be a leader. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

这是管理策略类的观点型题目。中老年人阅历丰富、个性稳健、人脉资源多但精力、胆识略显不足、知识技能也趋向老化。青年人精力旺盛、充满活力、受教育条件好、知识技能结构比较完备和更现代化。年轻人的问题是个人经历有限、有冒进、鲁莽的倾向以及社会资源不足。我的立场是新老结合，即老年人掌舵、青年人做助理或者老年人做顾问、年轻人做一把手。文章分为五段，首尾段引导和总结话题；3个主体段分别从老年人和青年人做领导的利弊来双边论述主题。
三、正文
Who might make a better chief, the elder or the young? As for this issue, the response varies from people to people. From my perspective, an organization headed by either the grey-haired veteran or the youthful new face is presented with both blessings and curses.
As we all know, despite the fact that the seniors might be poorer in their vitality due to their advanced age or outdated in their knowledge and skill system in comparison with the younger generation, they are superior in their rich life and work experience and social networkings. After combating in the business world for a long time, they have weathered endless tests or trials and accumulate a load of precious experiences and wisdom which prove priceless for the successful operation of the industry. In addition, throughout their life-long participation and practice in the workplace, it is assumed that they are really more robust in their business connections and could easier seek assistance or alliance from their friend circle.
Conversely, although the juniors don’t have the same level of employment experience as their senior elderly counterparts and they might be reckless or impulsive in their decision makings as a result of their young age, the youth are usually better educated and digital savvy compared with their predecessors, so they are deemed better equipped with the most updated ideology and high-tech Science and Technology.
Furthermore, they are more open-minded, more receptive to new ideas, more daring, energetic and imaginative in creating a brand new world and lead the tide of global trend. A case in point in my personal life is that it is my teenage daughter who is the first member in my family to shop online and network with her buddies on the hugely sensational Chinese instant messaging platform nowadays—WeChat. Without her initiative, as a senior, I guess I would still live in the pre-smart phone era and be lagged far behind the progress of the society.
In conclusion, neither the old nor the young makes a flawless head of a work unit because of their deficiencies in their DNA relevant to their age. As far as I am concerned, we could achieve a more desirable result by mixing the young with the old in the management sector and give full play to the strengthes of both parties and meanwhile reduce their respective weaknesses as far as possible.
