    《使徒行传》9章

    扫罗仍然向主的门徒口吐威吓凶杀的话,去见大祭司,  (使徒行传 9:1 和合本)

    Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest  (Acts 9:1 NIV)

    求文书给大马士革的各会堂,若是找着信奉这道的人,无论男女,都准他捆绑带到耶路撒冷。  (使徒行传 9:2 和合本)

    and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.  (Acts 9:2 NIV)

    Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,  (Acts 9:18 NIV)

    But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.  (Acts 9:27 NIV)

    About that time she became sick and died, and her body was washed and placed in an upstairs room.  (Acts 9:37 NIV)

    Peter stayed in Joppa for some time with a tanner named Simon.  (Acts 9:43 NIV)

    At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment.  (Acts 10:1 NIV)

    他是个虔诚人,他和全家都敬畏 神,多多周济百姓,常常祷告 神。  (使徒行传 10:2 和合本)

    He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.  (Acts 10:2 NIV)

    有一天,约在申初,他在异象中明明看见 神的一个使者进去,到他那里,说:“哥尼流。”  (使徒行传 10:3 和合本)

    One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, “Cornelius!”  (Acts 10:3 NIV)

    Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.  (Acts 10:4 NIV)

    Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter.  (Acts 10:5 NIV)

    He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.”  (Acts 10:6 NIV)

    He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.  (Acts 10:11 NIV)

    It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds.  (Acts 10:12 NIV)

    Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.” (Acts 10:13 NIV)

    “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”  (Acts 10:14 NIV)

    The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.” (Acts 10:15 NIV)

    This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.  (Acts 10:16 NIV)

    While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon’s house was and stopped at the gate.  (Acts 10:17 NIV)

    They called out, asking if Simon who was known as Peter was staying there.  (Acts 10:18 NIV)

    While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Simon, three men are looking for you.  (Acts 10:19 NIV)

    So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.”  (Acts 10:20 NIV)

    Peter went down and said to the men, “I’m the one you’re looking for. Why have you come?”  (Acts 10:21 NIV)

    The men replied, “We have come from Cornelius the centurion. He is a righteous and God-fearing man, who is respected by all the Jewish people. A holy angel told him to ask you to come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say.”  (Acts 10:22 NIV)

    Then Peter invited the men into the house to be his guests. The next day Peter started out with them, and some of the believers from Joppa went along.  (Acts 10:23 NIV)

    The following day he arrived in Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.  (Acts 10:24 NIV)

    He said to them: “You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile. But God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean.  (Acts 10:28 NIV)

    So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection. May I ask why you sent for me?”  (Acts 10:29 NIV)

    Cornelius answered: “Three days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me  (Acts 10:30 NIV)

    You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.  (Acts 10:36 NIV)

    You know what has happened throughout the province of Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached—  (Acts 10:37 NIV)

    He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.  (Acts 10:41 NIV)

    The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles.  (Acts 10:45 NIV)

    For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said,  (Acts 10:46 NIV)

    “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.”  (Acts 10:47 NIV)

    So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.  (Acts 10:48 NIV)
