Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.” (Luke 12:15 NIV)

And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. (Luke 12:16 NIV)

He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ (Luke 12:17 NIV)

“Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. (Luke 12:18 NIV)

It will be good for that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns. (Luke 12:43 NIV)

But suppose the servant says to himself, ‘My master is taking a long time in coming,’ and he then begins to beat the other servants, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk. (Luke 12:45 NIV)

The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers. (Luke 12:46 NIV)

“The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. (Luke 12:47 NIV)

But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. (Luke 12:48 NIV)

Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time? (Luke 12:56 NIV)

As you are going with your adversary to the magistrate, try hard to be reconciled on the way, or your adversary may drag you off to the judge, and the judge turn you over to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison. (Luke 12:58 NIV)

Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? (Luke 13:4 NIV)

and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. (Luke 13:11 NIV)

When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” (Luke 13:12 NIV)

Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. (Luke 13:13 NIV)

Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.” (Luke 13:14 NIV)

The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? (Luke 13:15 NIV)

Again he asked, “What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? (Luke 13:20 NIV)

It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.” (Luke 13:21 NIV)

Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ “But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’ (Luke 13:25 NIV)
