在我眼中，整个世界都变了模样，我想，

自从听见你灵魂的足音坚持，噢，坚持要伴在我身旁；

它们偷偷挤进我和死亡之间，

我面临那恐怖深渊的边际，一心以为会坠亡，

却为爱所救，还教我以新的生命之歌。

上帝赐我洗礼这重生之酒，我欣然饮下，

并赞美它的甘甜，噢，我的爱人，只要你在我身旁！

人间或天堂，它们的名字全赖你的所在，

你在哪里，哪里就是我的仙乡；

这首昨日挚爱的生命之歌，

噢，那歌唱的天使知道，我爱它只是因为你的名字被声声吟唱。

Since first I heard the footsteps of thy soul
