Chapter 14
第五个星球小小的，小到不好容纳两个人。这一章讲的是点灯人的事。
There was just enough room on it for a street lamp and a lamplighter.
lamp+lighter→点灯人，打火机就是cigarette lighter或者直接说lighter即可。
之前学过一个词叫lamp-post
The little prince was not able to reach any explanation of the use of a street lamp and a lamplighter, somewhere in the heavens, on a planet which had no people, and not one house.
在英文写作中常用名词的形式来取代动词，所以让豹豹造句可能就是简单划上The little prince could not explain...哈哈。
When he lights his street lamp, it is as if he brought one more star to life, or one flower. When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep.
这句话挺有诗意的。
I no longer have a single second for repose.
repose:
(literary) Repose is a state in which you are resting and feeling calm. 休憩，安宁
no longer常表示时间上“已不再持续”
eg. I no longer work there .
no longer 放在谓动词之前，表其后的动作不再持续。
在日常生活或工作中，说休息一下用take a break即可，尽量不要使用have a rest,后者有长时间休息之意，小心你的老板会黑脸。

是的，并不冲突。

Chapter 15
这是第六个星球，小王子遇到了一位地理学家。第一次尝到了后悔的滋味。
The sixth planet was ten times larger than the last one. It was inhabited by an old gentleman who wrote voluminous books.
关于倍数表达，豹豹不罗列规则了，与其记规则不如多看两遍例句。三条句子均来自互联网。侵删。
1.This rope is twice longer than that one．
这根绳子比那根长两倍，即三倍。(与本文相同)
2.Asia is four times as large as Europe．
亚洲的面积是欧洲的四倍。
3. This street is four times the length of that street．
这条街是那条街的四倍长。

scholar学者＋ship→奖学金(词根均来自schol就不说了)

No. That would be too complicated. But one requires the explorer to furnish proofs.
这里面furnish这个词实在是太稀奇了，当然是对豹豹来说。一般讲furnish是配备家具的意思。(furniture-n.)或者常见furnished这个形容词，在描述住处时很常用。
furnish: (formal) If you furnish someone with something, you provide or supply it. 提供; 供应
eg.We can furnish everything you need for a successful party.
"Why is that? The flower is the most beautiful thing on my planet!"
"We do not record them," said the geographer, "because they are ephemeral."
我们不记录花朵，它们太短暂了。
ephemeral:
(formal) If you describe something as ephemeral, you mean that it lasts only for a very short time. 短暂的; 瞬间的
后文出现了与之相反的表达。
It is very rarely that an ocean empties itself of its waters. We write of eternal things.永恒的事物
"My flower is ephemeral," the little prince said to himself, "and she has only four thorns to defend herself against the world. And I have left her on my planet, all alone!"
所以作者说那是小王子第一次感受到后悔。

Chapter 16
这一章讲了作者眼中的地球。因为小王子被学者建议去the Earth看一看。这一章超级短，个人觉得很无聊。算是按照时区或者太阳日落来依次列举了地球大概的国家分布。作者的地理果然很好。
(not forgetting, to be sure, the Negro kings among them), ...
Negro这个词千千万万不要用。

小王子昨天已经快翻完了。꒰⌗´͈ ᵕ ॣ`͈⌗꒱৩因为真的不长。电影看了一点点，故事上虽觉得有些牵强，但拍摄手法以及道具真的很惊艳。据说小王子部分是剪纸做的。
