天太热了，来和豹豹读一下纳尼亚凉爽一下吧！

第十一章不仅仅是阿斯兰快到了，连冬天也快结束了。这一章出现了部分景色描写，还是挺美的。可能会有一部分同学和豹豹一样不大喜欢过多的景色描述，尤其是阅读故事的时候。不过偶尔停驻下来欣赏一下还是挺好的。

nibble这个词是小口小口啃，还记得查理吃巧克力吗？and then he would take a tiny nibble – just enough to allow the lovely sweet taste to spread out slowly over his tongue. 查理小口吃是因为太好吃，爱德蒙吃不下是因为太难吃。(stale loaf就是陈面包 )

另外如果是there seem(s/ed) to be直接＋n.最为常见，eg. There seems to be a correlation.

与reindeer grapefruit是不一样的，后两者是单复数形式相同，表单数可＋a

这里是注意can’t have done的用法。

For the past we use must have done and can't have done .

eg.I've lost one of my gloves. I must have dropped it somewhere.

eg. Jane walked past me without speaking . She can't have seen me.

而以往我们学习的是could have done

Most often, we use could have(done)for things which were possible but did not happen.

eg.The situation was bad but it could have been worse.

所以有时候couldn't have done …is possible instead of can't have...

shaft常见意思是电梯的升降机井，还有一个常见意思就是(光线)的一束a shaft of light/a brilliant shaft of sunshine，在爱德华奇妙之旅出现过这个生词。讲的一个小姑娘领走了一个很古老的洋娃娃(爱德华的心灵导师)让爱德华又燃起了了被爱的希望。

firs 就是指the fir trees 冷杉，也是安徒生童话知名的一篇。oak橡树 beech山毛榉(福尔摩斯里出现过，到现在也不知道到底什么树)elm 榆树

The trees began to come fully alive. The larches and birches were covered with green, the laburnums with gold.

larch落叶松  birch白桦树 最后一个laburnum是金莲花。
