我翻译的《道德经》第十六章（2）

原文:

夫物芸芸，各复归其根。归根曰静，静曰复命。复命曰常，知常曰明。不知常，妄作凶。

译文:

那万物纷纷芸芸，各自返回它的本根。返回到它的本根就叫做清静，清静就叫做复归于生命。复归于生命就叫自然，认识了自然规律就叫做聪明，不认识自然规律的轻妄举止，往往会出乱子和灾凶。

解释:

芸芸：茂盛、纷杂、繁多。

归根：根指道，归根即复归于道。

静曰：一本作"是谓"。

复命：复归本性，重新孕育新的生命。

常：指万物运动变化的永恒规律，即守常不变的规则。

明：明白、了解。

看清了世界的运转规律，生命的本质，便不会再纠结于欲望。

我的翻译:

All kinds of things will return to  the places which they come from.

That is called quietness.

Quietness is returning to the  original  of

life.

Returning to the  original state of life is called  the law of nature.

  Somebody who  knows the  law will be smart.

Somebody who  doesn't the law  will be  proud  and  unlucky.
